We got a call from the Futurebirds right before SXSW— their new album Baba Yaga was on the way, and could we redesign their site to reflect Carter’s mad-genius artwork from the album’s cover– before the band hit Austin? Of course we said yes– check out the site redesign here.
We took Carter’s white medieval font design and pulled some of the colors from the album art’s furry background to make a logo for the site which would pop out over the new photos, and we tweaked the site graphics throughout. We also added Songkick for the tour, made a transparent background for the tour blog, and added some new video.
Jason shot all new photos for the band, too. And we got it all turned around in a week– just in time for South By Southwest!
Here’s a bit more…
Some of Jason’s photos from this shoot are also featured in this month’s Georgia Music Magazine in the story “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Futurebird”
