San Francisco band Tea Leaf Green and Red Light Management hired Jason Thrasher to create an eight minute documentary, Behind the Radio Tragedy, promoting the new record, Radio Tragedy.
Take a look at the Tea Leaf Green website. Beth says these guys have the SF vibe nailed. And we have to admit their music has a way of subtly getting into your psyche.
Here are a few reviews of the piece and the record…at Consequence of Sound, Charleston City Paper (Go Athens Alum, Ballard Lesseman!) and JamBase.
Jason spent a day shooting photos of the band (scroll on down) around Athens, GA, where Tea Leaf had a brief layover while on tour of the Southeast. They’d just played Atlanta the night before…
Then Jason shot the interviews which make up Behind the Radio Tragedy and a music video for their new song, HoneyBee (stay tuned for that) at top secret location– “the Big House” — in Athens.
Eddie Whelan edited both pieces and did a damn fine job. Eddie and Chad Osburn were both on hand for the shoot.
Jason has worked with Red Light Management for a few years now. Red Light, associated with ATO Records, hired Jason for shoots of Widespread Panic, Drive-By Truckers (Jason’s collaboration with Patterson for Go-Go Boots), and the North Mississippi Allstars (Jason’s pic of the band is on their home page).
Here are a few of the shots for Tea Leaf Green that Jason made a few weeks ago… check out their record. We think you will jam on it.
