Beth’s Web Design: Victorian Home for Sale

When local artists Didi Dunphy and Jim Barsness asked us to help them get the word out about their hip Five Points Victorian with upstairs music room and freestanding artists studio and workshop we said hell yes! We love this house, and if we had an extra $400k to plunk down we’d buy it…

Our family has spent a lot of time in this house over the past decade, and it is the perfect place for a family with a work at home business or a pair of professional artists… or basically anyone who wants to be within walking distance to both downtown Athens, GA, and the quaint bustle of Five Points. The home is just a stone’s throw from both he UGA Stadium and Campus and the Fabulous Forty Watt Club downtown. The wraparound porch, back yard patio and gardens have been host to many a wonderful gathering of friends.

So, as you know Beth and Jason Thrasher are not real estate agents, but are really good at marketing both online and off, so what we did is take the photos that Didi already had on hand, and added in a few new gorgeous “magazine” shots like the one you see here (from the home page) and some beauty shots of the bathrooms by Jason. Then Beth built an easy to navigate (and chock full of back end SEO) web site … and now as you see we are in the process of getting the word out via good old fashioned elbow grease.

But the thing is, Thrasher Photo and Design is really good at marketing stuff we love– local small business, vacation travel, cool houses and getaways, artists and rock and roll– can you blame us? Those are some good things to love.

And now we are marketing this home that WE truly LOVE– it’s a quiet haven on a Civil War era street. It’s historic, dreamy, with tall ceilings, heart pine wood floors, two soaking tubs (one claw foot and one mod jacuzzi) with an all new updated kitchen… and you can always say to yourself (new owners) that this home once housed one artist represented by a New York gallery and another artist whose mod home furnishings and products are featured everywhere from Barney’s to FAO Schwartz… that is some pretty good mojo!

I can’t say enough good things about 421 Dearing Street. BUY IT IF YOU CAN!!!! But at the reduced price of $400k it won’t last long.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in this home, pass the word with the Facebook Like button here or send them to the web site! Hearts and flowers….
